Tom Cruise’s ‘The Mummy’ Expected to Make $40 Million on its Opening
What can be better than a movie that has a Mummy in it and the cherry on the cake is that it has the very hot and charming Tom Cruise as well. The movie, ‘The Mummy’, is slated to be released on 9th of June and all the movie ticket booking portals and apps are showing that 99% population is willing to watch the movie.
‘The Mummy’ has been written by Dylan Kussman, Christopher McQuarrie, and David Koepp, and has been directed by the very brilliant Alex Kurtzman. This movie not just has horror or action in it, but it has adventure too, so all the movie buffs who love to watch and experience adventure should certainly watch this Tom Cruise starrer.
Starring Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis and Sofia Boutella in the lead, this movie is about an archaeologist Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) who makes fortune by plundering ancient sites for ancient and expensive artifacts and then sells them to the highest bidders of London. One day, while doing so, he gets caught in an attack of the Middle Eastern people and this is when Nick unleashes the wild and evil princess of Egypt, Ahmanet. Thousands of years ago, the princess was betrayed and entombed due to her fierce ways. And now, as she has been set free with her highly evolved powers, she is dead sure about ruining the world. Now, it’s at this point when all the drama unfolds as Princess Ahmanet is on a killing spree and Nick has to stop this before it’s too late.
While the movie is expected to make more than 200 crores just in Canada and the US, it will very easily entre the 1000 crore club in the first week only. Now, what is to be seen is, even though the movie looks quite promising, will it be able to impress the audiences with its high budget, excellent graphics and an actor as handsome as Tom Cruise?
