Anupam Kher to Play Former PM in Manmohan Singh’s Biopic
So, all the rumors have been put to rest. The buzz mill has stopped churning as the news about who will play Manmohan Singh in his biopic is out and it is none other than the very versatile and seasoned actor, Anupam Kher, himself. Right from Facebook and Twitter to all the news websites, this news is trending and it certainly deserves all the attention it is getting. Anupam Kher to Play Former PM in Manmohan Singh’s Biopic
The prime reason for all the thrill is the name of the movie itself, that is ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. The name is enough to suggest what the movie has in store for us. Another reason for this buzz is the involvement of big names of the industry. The writer of the movie, Hansal Mehta, is a national award winner is acing the art of writing and directing since a very long time. Anupam Kher, who will play the titular role is, again, a national-award winner and he has already proved his mettle in a lot of movies.
In the movie, Anupam will play a character who is 10 years older to his age and according to Mr. Kher himself, it is going to be pretty challenging for him. The first poster of the movie is already out and Anupam Kher is looking exactly like the ex-PM Manmohan Singh.
In the poster, Anupam’s side profile is given as Manmohan Singh and in somewhere in the background there is a shadow of Congress President Ms. Sonia Gandhi, which brings us to another interesting topic and that is who will play Ms. Gandhi in the movie? Even though we have amazing female talents in our industry, there will be only few who will play the role with finesse.
With such a superb star cast and subject will this movie be a hit or a miss that only time will tell, but for now let’s just hope this one to be a gem of a movie.
